Therapy Support For Carers Scotland

We have been treating Carers in the Perth and Kinross area for several years sponsored by Perth and Kinross Council - Community Care. Direct referrals are made to us for six therapeutic by Social Work and Mental Health Teams for the Carers who choose our service provision of relaxation and therapeutic support.

With an estimated 20,000 carers resident in the Perth and Kinross area, this initiative of caring for our carers is both a productive and important one, benefiting not only the Carer, but also who they are caring for and their family members.

At Norwell Health and Training (Norwell Clinic) we work with Carers who have reached turning points in their lives and who would like a different perspective of life. Issues come up which they feel they can not deal with themselves due to insufficient personal time. We provide a service of support for Carers involving Silent Counselling therapy; without the need to talk about possible distressing issues, total privacy and dignity  are maintained.

- Having time to themselves but leaving those they care for only a maximum of a few hours at one time.
- Over 10  years of experience of supportive therapies, Reflexology, Bio-Energy, Bowen Therapy, Silent Counselling, Clinical Aromatherapy Massage, Visualisation and Relaxation Techniques.

Carers normally report positive life perception changes after only one or two sessions of our therapies. This process continues throughout the remaining sessions using any of the afore mentioned therapies. Many clients report enormous benefits, and are genuinely affected by the care and attention shown for them as Carers, giving them further strength to continue enjoying their caring role.
